Unexpected challenges during my stay

The ongoing renovations made accessing the lobby a hassle, and I found the floors were torn up. Breakfast was a letdown with limited options.

Cleanliness needs a serious upgrade!!! Unpleasant odors linger in rooms, and the exterior grounds look neglected!!! Management should focus on improving housekeeping services and ensuring that rooms are up to standard!!!

The front desk was pretty nice, it was a quick check in. The room, though? Spotless and comfy, no weird smells or stains… if that's not a win, I don’t know what is.

It was just a commendable fit for a weekend trip in Ottumwa with good price-quality ratio. The staff seemed to genuinely overlook the clutter on the coffee pot, which could use a good dusting. If you plan to stay, make sure to double-check your room for cleanliness upon arrival.

Quiet and clean rooms with friendly staff

I recently enjoyed my stay, especially due to the cleanliness of my King Room. The staff were accommodating and friendly, making the check-in process easy. However, the breakfast could use some improvement in terms of variety and freshness.

I had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. The location suited my needs perfectly. It wasn’t far from where I had to work. I really appreciated that the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room itself was clean upon entering, but I had some issues. The air conditioning was barely functioning, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable at times. The bathtub also had rust stains that could have been cleaned up better. Breakfast offerings were average, nothing exciting but adequate. Despite the flaws, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well. There were a few maintenance issues that definitely need addressing, though. I left feeling that the hotel could do a lot more to improve the guests' overall comfort.

had a great stay at best western! the location was perfect for the bowling tournament. my room was very clean and well stocked with towels. the included breakfast was nicely set up and delicious. i really appreciated staying close to the exit since i brought my small dog.

Had a great time with friends! The health club was a nice touch, and we loved the coffee station in the common area. The staff were friendly and made our stay more enjoyable. Just be prepared for some renovations around the property to improve your experience.

One downside was the AC barely functioning during our stay, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.

I had a lovely stay where I really enjoyed the clean Queen Room and was grateful for the quick access to the exit since I had my small dog with me. The outdoor seating area and breakfast options made relaxing in the morning so nice! Just a heads-up that the hallways had a musty smell, but it didn’t take away from my experience. 😊
